If you are using Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013, you already have a Skype for Business application installed. If you do not have Office installed, download the appropriate application for your system:
If I enter my name and click "Join the meeting" my browser downloads SkypeForBusinessPlugin.pkg (md5sum = a4958d5aa5c7dbe17774bcd6e4492106). I can run this and choose to "Install for me only". After installation I see a new plug-in in /Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins called SkypeForBusinessPlugin-15.8.bundle, so the installation is apparently successful. The bundle ID is com.microsoft.skypeforbusiness.plugin. I don't know which browser this is for, but I assume it should work in Safari. When I go back to the same page after installing the plugin, I am either prompted to install the plugin again, or I get this error message:

When you download the Skype installation file to your computer, it is initially saved to your "Downloads" folder. In some cases, if you have your preferences set to save files to another location, Skype downloads to the location set in your preferences. Double-clicking the downloaded folder opens up the installation folder.
After the file downloads and you double-click the DMG file, a dialog box appears with two icons -- "Skype" and "Applications." Some people double-click the "Skype" icon, which loads the application but doesn't save it to your computer. In this case, the "Skype" folder won't be found in your Applications folder. Instead, it appears as a disk image when you click on the "Finder" icon located in the Mac user dock. Install the application properly by closing it down if it is open and dragging the "Skype" file to the "Applications" folder as indicated on the initial dialog box.

As stated in the introduction, anyone can now download Skype for Business for Mac from Microsoft. The system requirements for Skype for Business on Mac are OS X 10.11 El Capitan or macOS Sierra 10.12 ans above.

OSUnet VPN service is designed as a solution for faculty, staff and students to provide remote usage to the OSUnet network that is authenticated and secure. It is for university-related business only and must be left with your department and removed from your home computer when you leave Ohio State.
JMP Genomics is an optional package that combines interactive JMP graphics and SAS Analytics, allowing researchers to see and explore genomic data from every angle, understand it and share analysis with colleagues. JMP Genomics is available only to faculty and staff for classroom instruction, academic research and course work only. It can be used on campus and at home for no change (Ohio State Pediatrics has provided a cost share for this license). JMP Genomics is a very large program (approx. 11.2GB in size). Check the file size after downloading to ensure you have received the entire program. JMP Genomics Version 10 is the only version of this software available at this time.
Mathmatica is a technical computing system used by science, industry and academia. It combines high-precision numeric and symbolic computation with data visualization and programming capabilities. This license is maintained by the College of Math and Physical Sciences. The student version, available via electronic download through OCIO as "Mathematica for Students," is intended for use on student-owned computers to be used for instruction and research activities.
MINITAB is a statistical analysis software package available to faculty and regular staff for use on campus, in student labs and on Ohio State owned machines for university-related business. NVivo is a tool that enables fine-detail analysis, fluid exploration and interpretation, integrating the processes of interpretation and questioning data. It records links between data and ideas that go beyond coding. New and existing users must purchase or renew during the licensing year, which is from July 1 - July 1 of each year. Upgrades to newer versions during the year are free. Home use is allowed for Ohio State business purposes only. It is available to you while you are affiliated with Ohio State and must be returned or deleted from your home computer when you leave Ohio State.
RefWorks is a web-based bibliography and database manager that allows users to create their own personal database by importing references from text files or online databases. They can use these references in writing their papers; it automatically formats the paper and the bibliography. It is a web-based application; it does not require downloading or installation. Write-n-Cite is a feature that allows you to access your references in RefWorks while working in Microsoft Word. RefWorks is provided through Ohio State University Libraries in conjunction with other OhioLink member schools, and more information, including login processes, is available on the Ohio State Library's website.
